A Message From Our CEO

Forrester, Jerald

Welcome to all the beautiful colors and cooler temperatures of the autumn season. We picked this newsletter to tell you about some exciting and sad things going on here at Steindler.

Dr. Michael Durkee, MD is retiring from practice on 12/31/2015 after 34 years of practicing medicine at Steindler. He will be sorely missed. He has enjoyed a long and successful career here at Steindler and Iowa City. Please join me in wishing him the best in his retirement.

We have a celebrity at Steindler! Our Occupational Therapist and Hand Therapist, Laurie Stonewall, has created a buzz at Steindler. Laurie competed and won both the Best Overall Lifter for women and won her weight class at this year’s Iowa State Fair! What an accomplishment for this young lady! We are so proud to have a dedicated clinician and such a wonderful individual as part of our team! Congratulations Laurie! She is STEINDLER STRONG!!

Steindler made a strong showing at the recent Jefferson County Health Center’s Annual Golf Tournament to raise funds for the JCHC Foundation in Fairfield, Iowa. Participants were Jerry Forrester, CEO, Dr. David Steinbronn, MD, Jill Elliott, PHR, Laura Walsh—scheduler, Jennifer Jensen—Staff Finance, Melissa Heggebo, MBA, CMA—Office Manager, Dr. Bradley Bussewitz, DPM and Michael Walsh. It was a lovely day to play golf to raise money for a great cause.

As we come into the busiest time of year for Steindler, we can’t help but reflect on the great support we get from you as our patient and advocate. Thank you for your patronage and your reliance on our fine doctors to treat your musculoskeletal needs.
