Magnetic Resonance Imaging, commonly referred to as a MRI, in an advanced technology using magnetic fields and radio waves (like microwaves and the AM and FM bands on your radio) to visualize the inner workings of the body. The pictures produced by MRI help the radiologist clearly and accurately detect the define the difference between healthy and diseased tissues, especially in the soft tissues. It can reveal many health problem at their earliest, most treatable stages.

Please have the following information available when scheduling your MRI examination:

  • Referring Physician's doctors orders for the MRI (information explaining why you will be having the MRI and type of examination your doctor requesting).

  • Current Insurance information. Steindler Orthopedic Clinic participates with most major insurers. We request that you remit any co-pay or deductible at the time of your examination, offer you the convenience of filling your claim for you with your insurance carrier.
