Meet Our Physical Therapy Team
October is Physical Therapy Month and the perfect time to introduce you to Steindler Orthopedic Clinic’s physical therapy team. Our specialty-trained therapy experts can design a diverse and effective treatment approach that works for you.
Joe Albright, P.T.: Joe grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the physical therapy program at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in 1986. Joe’s areas of treatment focus include the shoulder, knee, and foot and ankle. He has over 20 years of experience with custom foot orthotic intervention used in the treatment of lower extremity problems.
In his free time, Joe enjoys biking, weight training, golf, and spending time with his family.
Matt Ehler, P.T., D.P.T., L.A.T.: Matt has been a licensed physical therapist since 2000 and a certified athletic trainer since 2001. Matt specializes in post-operative rehabilitation of rotator cuff repairs, total knee replacements, and knee ligament repairs. Covering local high school athletic events for 13 years, Matt has also developed an interest in the care and prevention of running injuries and shoulder/elbow pain in throwers.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys playing golf, biking, and spending time outdoors with his wife and their dog.
Jessica Keeran, P.T., D.P.T.: Jessica first became interested in physical therapy after she witnessed how it helped her mother recover from a severe leg injury. Jessica graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 2008. She’s been practicing in outpatient physical therapy since 2011 and works with injuries including joint replacements, shoulders and knees.
When she’s not in the office, Jessica enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son, being outdoors, and traveling.
Mary Smith, P.T.: Mary graduated from the University of Iowa with a Certificate in Physical Therapy in 1982. She specializes in treatment of spine dysfunction including neck and low back pain, headaches, hip pain, chronic pain, vestibular conditions, and dizziness. Mary is a certified Stott Pilates instructor. She enjoys encouraging patients to be more active, stay physically fit, and control/eliminate their pain.
Outside of work, Mary enjoys walking, reading, photography, and scrapbooking.
Christina Sturtevant, P.T., D.P.T.: Christina received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She specializes in general orthopedics and sports medicine. Her clinical interests include shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation for the shoulder, knee, and ankle/foot.
In her free time, Christina is an avid traveler and cook. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
