Home Our Specialties Hand and Wrist Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition that causes pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness in the hand. It happens because of increased pressure on the median nerve, which runs the length of the arm and ends in the hand. Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by repetitive motions, like typing on a keyboard for example. Performing actions when the hand is lower than the wrist can increase the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome occurring.
