Plantar Fasciitis

-A +A

Plantar fasciitis is an irritation of the thick tissue, known as the plantar fascia, located on the bottom of the foot.  The plantar fascia is a thick ligament that connects the heel bone to the toes and supports the natural arch of the foot.
Plantar fasciitis occurs when the plantar fascia is overstretched and/or overused, and it makes standing or walking very painful.
