Stiff Big Toe

-A +A

Stiff big toe, also known as hallux rigidus, is a form of degenerative arthritis that affects the big toe joint. It causes pain and stiffness in the toe, which progressively worsens over time as the toe becomes increasingly rigid and hard to bend.  Bone spurs on top of the joint are often irritated by overlying shoe wear.
